Welcome to my new site and first blog post! 

Let me tell you a little bit about how we got here. My creative journey started as a textile artist, designing and creating cozy sweaters, avant-garde woven jackets and hand-dyed apparel. Quite upon chance, I discovered that I could apply the techniques and the skills that I had cultivated to metal jewelry design. So I grabbed a spool of wire, my trusty crochet hook and delved into the world of woven metals. Shortly after that, I happened upon the lamp-worked bead universe and quickly sought to learn how to create with glass and flame. 

With my jewelry designer hat firmly on my head, I fashioned countless pieces of adornment, showcasing them at art fairs and shops. After quite a few years, I slowed down, retired from an office job and put jewelry creation on the back-burner. Itching for something new to fill my idle hands, I starting exploring surface pattern design. 

Today, I design fabrics for sewists and home decor and accessory  products for the rest of us. My design can be found on popular print on demand sites and are available around the globe. I have just started to get back into designing and creating with metal and glass…a new studio is underway as we speak. Soon I will be dividing my time between my digital designing and the work bench. I am hoping that I can find a creative balance with both. Please join me on this new journey!
